The selection also includes digital copies of photochromic postcards of the end of the 19th century with famous views of Moscow.

Relations between Russia and Great Britain have always had a significant impact on the course of the world history. The studies, essays, official documents and photographs of the selection reveal the history of development of the relations, beginning from the 16th century to the mid 20th century. The selection also includes some legislative acts of the two states and materials on the history of the English church.

Russia – Germany: on the history of relations

Collected official papers, studies and essays reflect a long-lived history of diplomatic, military and economic relations between Russia and Germany, beginning from mid. 17th c. up to the 1920s.

The selection features studies, essays, archival documents and other materials covering the issues of history, geography, land use, financial policy, demography, religious education and cultural development of the Zabaykalsky Krai in the end of the 19th – early 21st century, as well as the current Statutes of the region.

Amur Oblast: pages of history

The selection of researches, reference and statistic editions, cartography materials and archival documents reflects the history of development of the Amur Oblast territories and certain aspects of development of the region in the period of the end of the 19th – mid 20th century. The mini-collections also includes the current Statute of the region.

Russia – Spain: historical features

The selection, marking the Year of Spain in Russia and Russia in Spain, includes the materials on geography, history, public education in Spain in 19th century, and archival documents reflecting certain aspects of diplomatic and trade relations between Russian and Spain in early 20th century.

Kamchatka Krai: pages of history

Development of Kamchatka, the most remote Russian region, in 18th – the first half of 19th centuries is represented by travel notes, geographical and historical descriptions, fragments of newsreel of 1920s - 1930s; the selection also includes materials on Petropavlovsk defense of 1854 and the current Charter of the Kamchatka Krai.
