International photo contest «Foreign View»
12 September, 2011 the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library stopped to accept the photos for the 2nd International contest «Foreign View». The names of the winners will be announced 1st November.
During the artistic competition the site of the Presidential Library has registered contestants from Russia, CIS member states, Great Britain, China, the Republic of Korea, Germany, Japan, Canada and other countries.
The winning photographs will be selected within the following nominations: “State Power and Informational Society”, “People and Events”, “Borders and Spaces”, “State Symbols”, “Customs and Traditions”, “National Monuments”. These nominations reveal the content of the Presidential Library’s holdings. A part of the photos selected by experts will enrich the collections of the Presidential Library.
“Foreign View” is a photographic project aimed at revelation of the diversity of social, political, cultural and other ways the state affects the life of citizens. The topic of 2011 contest is the “21st century state”.
