In accordance with the order of the President of the Russian Federation dated 18 June 2007 (№ 326-rp) Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library should have branches in every Region of the Russian Federation.

At present time Library’s management is carrying out the plan of setting up the regional branches in 2010.

A cooperation agreement with Kazan (Volga) Federal University signed

April 12, 2013, the Presidential Library signed a cooperation agreement with Kazan (Volga) Federal University to establish its branch at the university. On behalf of the Presidential Library, the document was signed by th Director General, A. P. Vershinin, and on behalf of the University – by its rector, I. R. Gafurov.

The Presidential Library completed the demonstration of a virtual exhibition "Born to fly", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of three times Hero of the Soviet Union, Marshal, honorary resident of Novosibirsk, A. I. Pokryshkin

About 1,500 visitors of the Presidential Library, including the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, D. V. Livanov, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, V. R. Medinsky, members of the IV St. Petersburg Educational Forum  national education leaders and prominent figures of culture and science, social figures, members of the official delegations of the regions of the Russian Federation, as well as readers of the Presidential Library have visited the exhibition featuring a virtual collection of materials about A. I. Pokryshkin.

 

Specialists of the Presidential Library held the training seminar, "Methodology and Practice of Development of Digital Content of the Presidential Library" in Volgograd

9-10 April 2013, the Presidential Library specialists, N. A. Nuzhina and M. Yu. Smirnova held the training seminar, "Methodology and Practice of Development of Digital Content of the Presidential Library" at GBUK "Gorky Regional Universal Scientific Library in Volgograd."

 

RF Presidential aide, A. A. Fursenko, visited the electronic reading room with access to resources of the Presidential Library in the Pacific State University (Khabarovsk)

April 9, 2013, as part of the visit to the Khabarovsk Territory of the presidential aide, A. A. Fursenko, were held talks through videoconferencing at the Presidential Library and the Pacific State University. On the part of the Khabarovsk Territory the talks attended Presidential aide, A. A. Fursenko, governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Vyacheslav Shport, and the Pacific State University’s rector, Sergey Ivanchenko.

 

The delegation of the Sakhalin region visited Presidential Library on a working visit

April 9, 2013, representatives of the public and administration of the Sakhalin region - Deputy Governor of the Sakhalin Region, Yu. A. Maximov, chairman of the Public Chamber of the Sakhalin Region, E. A. Stepanskaya came to the Presidential Library with a working visit.

 

A cooperation agreement signed with the Naval Academy of the Russian Navy

April 9-10, 2013, at the Naval Academy n. a. Admiral of the Soviet Navy N. G. Kuznetsov, was held a theoretical and practical conference “Naval Heritage of Russia: Integration of Library Resources in Digital Environment.”

 

A delegation from the Penza Region visited the Presidential Library

March 29, 2013, a delegation from the Penza Region came to the Presidential Library with working visit. The delegation included the Head of the Department of Culture and Archive of the region, E. A. Shilov; Chief Expert, Division of Culture and Arts of the Department of Culture and Archive, E. B. Soldatkina and Director of the Lermontov Regional Library of Penza, M. N. Osipova.

 

Specialists of the Presidential Library held the "Methodology and practice of development of digital content of the Presidential Library" seminar in Khabarovsk

26-28 March 2013, in the Far Eastern State Research Library, specialists of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library held an interregional scientific-practical seminar "Methods and practice of development of digital content of the Presidential Library." The workshop was attended by 46 representatives of various libraries in Khabarovsk and the Khabarovsk Territory, the Republic of Buryatia, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Birobidzhan, Blagoveshchensk, Vladivostok, Vyazma, and representatives of universities, museums, and archives of Khabarovsk. The event was attended by representatives of 19 organizations.

 

Opening of the Kemerovo regional center of access to the resources of the Presidential Library

March 27, 2013 the Fedorov Regional Scientific Library in Kemerovo hosted the official opening of the regional center of access to the resources of the Presidential Library.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the regional and municipal administration, staff of museums and libraries in the Kemerovo Region. The Presidential Library at the ceremony was represented by Deputy Director General S. M. Makeev.

 

The virtual exhibition "Born to fly ..." is running at the Presidential Library

By order of the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region, V. A. Yurchenko the year of 2013 is declared the Year of the three times Hero of the Soviet Union, Marshal of aviation, honorary resident of Novosibirsk, Alexander Pokryshkin.

March 15, 2013 as part of the agreement on cooperation between the Presidential Library and the Novosibirsk State Regional Scientific Library, at the Presidential Library opened the virtual exhibition "Born to fly ..." dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the legendary pilot.

 

At the National Library of the Republic of Chuvashia took place the presentation of the Chuvash regional center of access to the resources of the Presidential Library

March 14, 2013 in the Conference Hall of the National Library of the Chuvash Republic was presented the Chuvash regional center of access to the information resources of the Presidential Library for the staff of cultural institutions (libraries, archives, museums) and university libraries.

The Chuvash regional center of access to the resources of the Presidential Library has been operating since January 2013. Access to information resources is provided in the electronic reading room, located on the second floor of the outhouse library. There are 15 computers for users, three work places are equipped with license keys to work with the holdings of the Presidential Library.

 

Exhibition of one book of the 17th century is held in the Khabarovsk regional center of access to the resources of the Presidential Library

March 14, 2013 the Day of Orthodox Book and in connection with the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty in the Khabarovsk regional center of access to the resources of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library of the Far Eastern State Research Library opened an exhibition of one book of the 17th century – Sobornoye Ulozheniye (legal code) of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, published in 1649.

 

The Presidential Library has signed a cooperation agreement

18 March 2013, the Presidential Library signed a cooperation agreement with the Pskov Regional Universal Scientific Library. On the part of the Presidential Library the document was signed by Deputy Director General for Corporate Development S. M. Makeev, and on behalf of the Pskov RUSL – by its Director V. I. Pavlova.

Also March 18, 2013 was signed an agreement on cooperation between the Presidential Library and the Lenin Regional Scientific Library in Ulyanovsk. On the part of the Presidential Library the agreement was signed by S. M. Makeev, on behalf of Ulyanovsk Regional Scientific Library – by its Director S. V. Nagatkina.

 

An agreement with the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region was signed

March 12, 2013 was signed an agreement on cooperation between the Presidential Library and the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region. On behalf of the Presidential Library the document was signed by Director General, Alexander Vershinin, and on behalf of the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region – by its governor, S. I. Morozov. Cooperation between the Presidential Library and the Ulyanovsk Region has been growing since 2009.

 

Delegation from Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University came to the Presidential Library with a working visit

March 12, 2013 Presidential Library welcomed a delegation of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University including the university’s rector, I. R. Gafurov, prorector for economic and strategic development, M. R. Safiullin and director of the Lobachevsky Scientific Library, E. N. Strukov.

 

A cooperation agreement with the Kemerovo Region has been signed

March 12, 2013 was signed an agreement on cooperation between the Presidential Library and the Board of Administration of the Kemerovo Region. On behalf of the Presidential Library the agreement was signed by Director General, A. P. Vershinin, and on behalf of the Board of Administration of the Kemerovo Region - by Governor, A. M. Tuleyev.

 

The visit to the Presidential Library of a specialist of the Culture Department of Primorsky Krai

February 14, 2013 the Presidential Library visited N. V. Makarenko, leading expert of the division for organizational and analytical work with the state, municipal and public institutions of culture and art under the Culture Department of Primorsky Krai.

 

Cooperation development: preparing the exhibition timed to the 90th anniversary of the Republic of Buryatia

From 11 to 15 February 2013, S. F. Danilenko, head of the regional center for access to information resources of the Presidential Library visited the Presidential Library.

S. F. Danilenko came to solve for organizational and technical issues related to the organization of an exhibition marking the 90th anniversary of the Republic of Buryatia within the agreement on cooperation with the Presidential Library. The exhibition will be featuring digitized resources of the rare and valuable books collection of the National Library of the Republic of Buryatia, as well as original materials - books, pieces of decorative art and religious worship. Exhibition will run in May 2013.

 

The Siberian Federal University opened an electronic reading room to access the resources of the Presidential Library

In January 2013, as part of realization of the signed cooperative agreement, the Siberian Federal University opened an electronic reading room to access the resources of the Presidential Library. It has 8 working places.

Cooperative agreement between the Presidential Library and the Siberian Federal University was signed April 11, 2011.

 

The Presidential Library co-organized the video conference “The Battle of Stalingrad: sources and historiography”

The Presidential Library co-organized the video conference “The Battle of Stalingrad: sources and historiography” which took place January 30, 2013 at two sites – in the Presidential Library and in the M. Gorky Regional Universal Scientific Library of Volgograd. The event was attended by scholars, representatives of authorities and public of St. Petersburg and Volgograd. The video conference was opened by Minister of Education and Science of the Volgograd Region, A. M. Korotkov.

 

About the work of the Tyumen branch of the Presidential Library in 2012

The main areas of activity of the Presidential Library’s branch in the Tyumen Region is the development of regional part and provision of access to the Presidential Library’s resources.

In 2012 the Tyumen branch of the Presidential Library has done a great amount of work transferring electronic copies of documents to be added to the Presidential Library collections. Under a cooperative agreement signed with the State Archives of the Tyumen Region in 2011, the archives also contributed to the replenishment of resources of the Presidential Library.

 

Organization of exhibitions in the Presidential Library

The library is developing cooperation with regions to prepare and implement joint projects including those of organization and holding of joint exhibitions.

Today there is being prepared the virtual exhibition “Born to fly” devoted to the 100th birthday anniversary of A. I. Pokryshkin, thrice Hero of the Soviet Union, Air Marshal, honorary citizen of Novosibirsk. The exhibition will run at the Presidential Library from March 15 to April 1, 2013.

 

Development of cooperation with universities

January 21, 2013 was signed a cooperative agreement with the FGBOU VPO "Amur State University n. a. Sholem Aleichem." On behalf of the Presidential Library the agreement was signed by Deputy Director General, S. M. Makeev, and on behalf of the University – by chancellor L. S. Grinkrug.

 

Students from Yakutia visited the Presidential Library

18 and 21 January, 2013 a delegation of students from the Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University and Yakut students from St. Petersburg universities, numbering 87 persons visited the Presidential Library. Students were presented the exhibition on the statehood of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), in honor of the 380th anniversary of Yakutia’s making part of Russia; they were also offered a tour of the Presidential Library.
