Famous historical figures and our contemporaries are the main characters of films and lectures on the Presidential Library’s portal

The Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday in Live broadcasts section provides broadcasting of films, video lectures and tours prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country.

In accordance with the broadcast program, from June 1 to 5, each user has the opportunity to remotely visit the personal library of the President of Russia in the Senate building on the territory of the Moscow Kremlin, as well as find out about the Archive of the President of the Russian Federation and its role in the life of the state and society.

New facts about the Holy Governing Synod and about the prosecutor Konstantin Petrovich Pobedonostsev, who headed this supreme body of church and state administration from 1880 to 1905, will be presented in video materials on the Presidential Library’s portal.

The film "From Cavalry to Commander-in-Chief" from the series "Russian Military at the Beginning of the 20th Century", prepared by the historical channel "365 Days TV", tells about the Russian and Soviet military commander Alexei Alekseevich Brusilov - the commander in chief of the South-Western Front, in Soviet Russia - the chief inspector of the cavalry Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army.

Our contemporary, the publisher of the All-Russian magazine for children about art “The Vvedenskaya Side”, a teacher from Staraya Russa Nikolay Lokot’kov, has become the main character in the documentary “Teacher of drawing: the history of a magazine” prepared by specialists of the Presidential Library.

The film "Letters from the Front" provides family stories, photographs, letters of participants in the Great Patriotic War. The multimedia pages were voiced by children studying at the school of young professionals “M-Art” as part of St. Petersburg Center for Creative Development and Humanitarian Education of Children “On Vasilievsky”.

On the eve of the birthday of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, a series of video materials dedicated to the great poet will be shown on the Presidential Library’s portal. Visitors to the portal will be able to take a fresh look at the famous “The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish”, learn about the writer’s worldview reflected in his works, and visit online the famous house on Moika, 12, where Pushkin lived in recent years.
