Yuri Panteleimonovich Pribylsky, Tobolsk historian, ethnographer and writer was born on April 19, 1926, in Tobolsk. His father was an economist Panteleimon Khrisanfovich Pribylsky and mother - a teacher Maria Afanasyeva Pribylskaya. The Pribylsky family originates from the Poles banished to Siberia. The progenitor Andrei Pribylsky was a participant in the armed struggle for the freedom and independence of Poland. In 1772, he was exiled to the Urals.

The first publication of the regional newspaper Krasny Sever in 1931

The first issue of the regional newspaper Krasny Sever was published in 1931. The history of the newspaper began with a small leaflet Rybak (Fisherman) in 1930. Travelling editor teams were popular in the 1930s – 1940s. Their work was as follows: the editorial office of a newspaper sent a small group of journalists to factories, villages and collective farms to publish an agitation or combat leaflet. The topics of the house magazines were the struggle for the quality of products and the growth in labour productivity.

United Action Day in memory of the genocide of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War

On April 19, 1943 the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR issued Decree No. 39 “On punishment measures for Nazi villains guilty of killing and torturing the Soviet civilian population and captured Red Army soldiers, for spies, traitors to the motherland from among Soviet citizens and for their accomplices”. The document became the legal basis for large-scale work to establish and investigate Nazi crimes against the peoples of the USSR.
