Presidential Library dedicated to International Children's Day

On June 1, Russia celebrates the International Children's Day. It was established in 1949 in Paris at the congress of the International Democratic Federation of Women. The holiday was designed to draw attention to the problems of children left without parents during the war.

Presidential Library marks birthday of cosmonaut Alexei Leonov

Alexei Arkhipovich Leonov, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, a legendary man who took the first step into outer space, was born on 30 May 1934. The feat performed by the Soviet cosmonaut in 1965 is described in periodicals, books, fragments of newsreels and other materials presented in the collection of the Presidential Library Outer Space.

On May 29, 2025, the Presidential Library hosted a creative meeting with Andrei Bezrukov, Professor of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MGIMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation), retired Colonel of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation. The theme of the meeting is "Russia in the new world."

Presidential Library marks anniversary of sculptor Peter Klodt

June 5, 2025 marks the 220th anniversary of the birth of Peter Karlovich Klodt, the author of the famous sculptures on the Anichkov Bridge, the chariot of Glory adorning the Narva Triumphal Gate, the monument to Nicholas I on St. Isaac's Square in St. Petersburg and other monumental works of art.
