Presidential Library and Amur Region signed cooperation agreement
On 3 September 2025, as part of the 10th Eastern Economic Forum, Yuri Nosov, Director General of the Presidential Library of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, and Pavel Puzanov, Deputy Chairman of the Amur Region Government, signed a cooperation agreement.

The Presidential Library is participating in the 10th Eastern Economic Forum, which is being held from 3 to 6 September 2025 in Vladivostok.
Presidential Library took part in international exhibition project "Flame of Victory"
The Presidential Library participated in an exhibition that opened on 3 September 2025 at the Russia – My History Museum and Exhibition Centre. The exhibition was organised as part of the "Flame of Victory" project and timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the victory over militaristic Japan and the end of World War II.
Presidential Library took part in opening of exhibition dedicated to end of Great Patriotic War
On 2 September 2025, the Exhibition Hall of the Federal State Archives in Moscow (17 Bolshaya Pirogovskaya Street) hosted the opening of the historical and documentary exhibition "The End of the Great Patriotic War. The Defeat of Militarist Japan. 7 November 1944 – 3 September 1945." Representatives of the Presidential Library took part in the event.
Library staff from CIS countries visited Presidential Library
On 1 September 2025, a delegation of library representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and Uzbekistan visited the Presidential Library.
Master of colour photography. Presidential Library on S. M. Prokudin-Gorsky
120 years ago, in 1905, at a meeting of the photography department of the Imperial Russian Technical Society, scientist, inventor, educator, and creator of colour photography in Russia Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorsky (1863–1944) showed about 70 of his photographs taken abroad and in Russia. The photographs were striking in their faithful reproduction of the bright colours of nature and were met with applause and exclamations of approval from those present.

Presidential Library mark Russian Cinema Day
45 years ago, in 1980, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR established an official holiday – Soviet Cinema Day. The name of the holiday has changed several times. In different years, it was celebrated as Cinema Day and Russian Cinema Day. In 2001, it was decided that the professional holiday, Russian Cinema Day, dedicated to everyone involved in cinema, would be celebrated annually on 27 August.
Video lessons on Presidential Library portal tell story of World War II
The Presidential Library portal offers video lessons on the history of World War II. This project is the result of cooperation between the Presidential Library and the Gorchakov Lyceum of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
Presidential Library marks anniversary of victory in Battle of Kursk
23 August 2025 marks the anniversary of the defeat of Nazi forces by Soviet troops in the Battle of Kursk. This day is officially declared Military Glory Day in Russia. In July-August 1943, one of the largest battles of the Great Patriotic War unfolded in the area of Oryol, Kursk, Belgorod, and Kharkov.
