Materials from the Presidential Library collections include the statutes of sports societies, literature about sports, the press, etc., will show how football developed and transformed: the rules, the technique of the game, the equipment of athletes changed, and also the lectures of the famous football historian Yuri Lukosyak.

Among the unique exhibits of the exhibition is the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR on the accession of the football section of the All-Union Committee to the International Football Federation (FIFA), dated November 14, 1946, the ball with the autographs of the football players "Zenith", with which they won the USSR Championship in 1984, the official ball of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the mock-up of the new stadium "Saint-Petersburg", executed in the smallest details.

Numerous photo and video materials detail how much work our country has done in preparing for the grandiose sports event: how modern stadiums and airports were built, the infrastructure of the city-organizers changed, and much more.

Indispensable helpers in conducting such large-scale sports competitions are volunteers. At the exhibition it will be possible to find out details about the work of volunteers from St. Petersburg and other cities - the organizers of the Championship.
