The writer Marina Lykova along with schoolchildren to take a “Journey to the World of Children's Books”

November 14, 2018 at 13:00 the Presidential Library will host a creative lesson with the writer Marina Lykova “Journey to the World of Children's Books” on the eve of the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum.

Marina Lykova is the author of books for children of preschool and primary school age “We are Alike”, “Why should we learn to read?”, the stories “Rubber”, “Excursion to the Water Museum”, “Epidemic of Fury”, “How I learned to swim”, “Magic pills“. Marina Vladimirovna is also a nominee for the 2017 Poet Prize of the Russian Writers’ Association in the field of children's literature and a member of the International Writers’ Association.

The creative lesson will be held for pupils of the 3rd and 4th grades in the framework of “Video Lecture – to School” with the participation of schoolchildren from other regions of Russia in the form of video conferencing and live broadcasting in “Live Broadcasts” section on the Presidential Library’s portal and in the official group Vkontakte. At the lesson, Marina Lykova will address matters related to the profession of a writer, show cartoons based on her works, and also give a master class on writing poetry.

The electronic exhibition has been organized for the class with the children’s writer on publications for children included in the Presidential Library’s collections: “The Alphabet in Pictures” by A. N. Benoit, “Native Word for Young Children” by K. D. Ushinsky, “The Civil Alphabet With Moral Arguments” of Peter I and others.
