The Presidential Library to perform the most beautiful Christmas fairy tale

December 25, 2018 at 19:00 on Senate Square, 3, People’s Artist of Russia Sergey Garmash will read Hoffmann’s Christmas fairy-tale The Nutcracker and Mouse King to the music of Tchaikovsky’s magic performed by a symphony orchestra. The evening will be held as part of the Petersburg Embankments Festival and will be held with the support of the Committee on Culture of St. Petersburg.

The evening will be filled with the magic of the word and the magic of the music. To the sounds of Tchaikovsky's masterpieces from the ballets The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, a Christmas story about love and devotion will unfold. The evening will be accompanied with a performance by young students of the Parade Ballet studio, which was founded by the duet of the Mikhailovsky Theater - Honored Artist of Russia Irina Perrin and Marat Shemiunov.

The concert is attended by the festival organizer, Honored Artist of Russia, violinist Maria Safaryants.

This evening one of the most beautiful halls of St. Petersburg will become a place where Christmas magic will unite all the generations. After all, adults will find a philosophical background in the fairy tale, children will see the miracle of magic happening before their eyes.

The event will be broadcasted live on the Presidential Library's portal in the “Live Broadcasts” section.
