The Presidential Library hosts the second stage of an interactive Olympiad for schoolchildren

From December 14, 2018 to January 25, 2019, the second stage of the annual interactive Olympiad "Russia in the Electronic World" is taking place. It has been held for the ninth time, having proved itself as one of the most significant activities for schoolchildren.

Its first stage was held from September 21 to December 2, 2018 in "History", "Social Studies", "Russian Language" nominations.

If more than 5,200 people took part in the Olympiad last academic year, more than 6,000 schoolchildren from 79 regions of Russia, as well as from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Moldova and other countries, including foreign countries participate this year. Ahead of all in the number of participants is traditionally Tyumen Region - almost half of the total!

The Olympiad is held in three stages, two of which are remote, and the last stage according to the established tradition gives participants the opportunity to test their knowledge in full-time format. The most capable and competent schoolchildren of St. Petersburg will be invited to Senate Square, 3 and pupils from other cities of Russia - to the sites of remote electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library. Today, in all 85 regions of our country, there are about 750 halls and 38 - abroad.

Winners and prize-awardees will have the right of preferential admission to universities of Russia - partners of the Presidential Library, the list of which will later be published on the Olympiad’s website. The best participants will be awarded with memorable prizes and gifts from the Presidential Library.

The Internet Olympiad for schoolchildren "Russia in the Electronic World" is a large-scale educational project, organized by the Presidential Library in cooperation with the Herzen State University of Russia. Since 2010, about 33,000 students of 10–11 grades have participated in the project.
