More than 350 pupils reached the final of the Presidential Library’s Olympiad

From March 19 to March 21, 2019 the third and the final stage of the annual interactive Olympiad for schoolchildren "Russia in the Electronic World" will be held in history, social studies and the Russian language. 352 pupils from 48 regions of Russia reached the final including participants from the Republic of Belarus. Tyumen Region is the leader of the list - 76 pupils successfully passed the first two qualifying stages.

By tradition, the final stage of the Olympiad will be held in the building of the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg at the Senate Square, 3 and its branch in Tyumen on the basis of the Mendeleev Tyumen Regional Research Library. In addition, the finalists of the interactive contest will be able to meet at another 24 sites: on the basis of the Altai State University, the Shishkov Altai Regional Universal Research Library, the N. N. Muravyov-AmurskyAmur Regional Research Library (Blagoveshchensk), the Sholom Aleicham Amur State University (Birobidzhan), the State Universal Research Library of Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Novosibirsk State Regional Research Library, the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Research Library, Grammar School № 16 in Tyumen, Zavodoukovsk School № 2 (Tyumen Region), еру Pacific State University (Khabarovsk), the State Library of Yugra (Khanty-Mansiysk), the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Research Library, the National Library of the Yamal-Nenets Area (Salekhard), Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and the Russian State Social University (Moscow), the Krupskaya Moscow Regional State Research Library, the Lenin Nizhny Novgorod State Regional Universal Research Library, the National Library of the Republic of Komi (Syktyvkar), the Lermontov Penza Regional Library, the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, the Don State Public Library (Rostov-on-Don), the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Research Library, the Pushkin Tambov Regional Universal Research Library, as well as the Russian Center of Science and Culture in the Republic of Belarus. The contest will be held in two parts - the first from 08:00 to 11:15, the second - from 12:00 to 15:15 (Moscow Time).

To successfully complete the tasks of the final round, pupils will have to turn to the Presidential Library’s collections, which contain over 770,000 copies of archival materials, rare books, unique audio and video documents, etc.

"Russia in the Electronic World" Olympiad has partners in the name of leading federal universities, which guarantee its winners and prize-awardees the advantages of entering universities in Russia.

Accreditation of media representatives is available until 15:00 March 18, 2019.

The letter should contain the name, date and place of birth, passport data (series, number, place of registration), a list of carry-on equipment, contact numbers, name of the media.

Please note that the admittance to the Presidential Library is carried out only by prior request and upon showing a passport: participants and guests of the event go through entrance № 1, media representatives go through entrance № 2.
