The theme of space to be recalled in the Presidential Library

Cinema club meeting, dedicated to a significant event in the history of mankind - the first human’s flight to space - will be held on April 17, 2019 at 16:00 in the Presidential Library.

The program of the event includes screening and discussion of the film “Russian in Space”, directed by Alexander Merzhanov and Sergei Shatilo (Roscosmos TV Studio). The film tells about the significance of the Russian language in the history of space exploration by people of Earth. The viewer will find out what language cosmonauts and astronauts speak on the ISS and how Russian has become a space language. Presentation of the collective three-volume edition of Russian Cosmism as a Project (authors Y. M. Malyshev, A. G. Semenov, O. P. Semenov, V. M. Sergeev) will also take place in the course of the cinema club meeting.   

Sergei Vladimirovich Krichevsky, a test cosmonaut, a professor, a doctor of philosophical sciences, a candidate of technical sciences, a leading researcher at the Vavilov Institute of History of Natural Science and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, member of the E. Tsiolkovky readings, member of the editorial board of international academic journals "Philosophy and Cosmology" and "The Image of a Man of the Future", author of over 300 publications, including seven monographs, on aerospace engineering and activities, history and philosophy of science, technology and ecology.

Accreditation of media representatives is until 15:00, March 16, 2019.
