The National Contest of Research Works and Projects "The Heart of Russia will not Forget You Like the First Love…”, which uses the Presidential Library’s electronic resources, has been held annually since 2015. Its founders include the Presidential Library, the Primorsky District Administration of St. Petersburg, the Information and Methodological Center of Primorsky District of St. Petersburg, the Foundation for Education Support (St. Petersburg).

In 2017 the contest became the nationwide event. Its geography expands every year. Representatives of more than 50 constituent entities of the Russian Federation take part in the contest. Among active participants are schoolchildren from Crimea. Young Pushkin scholars from Donetsk have been submitting interesting works for several years.
