The Presidential Library’s Integration Forum to unite regions

1–3 October 2019

For the first time the Presidential Library’s annual Integration Forum (October 1–3, 2019) will unite two major professional events: the Annual Off-site Meeting of Heads of Regional Centers of Access to the Presidential Library’s Resources and the 10th “Cultural Heritage: Integration of Resources in the Digital Environment” Scientific and Practical Conference.

Heads of regional centers of access to the Presidential Library’s resources will gather in Ryazan on October 1.

Participants in the 10th “Cultural Heritage: Integration of Resources in the Digital Environment” Scientific and Practical Conference on October 2–3, 2019 will have an opportunity to take part in an interesting discussion, meetings with new people, workshops and round-table talks and address a wide range of issues - from activities in the digital environment to the local history and the history of Hungary.

On October 2 conference participants will gather in the Ryazan Regional Library to discuss issues related to integration of library, archive and museum resources at the regional level.

Prospects for cooperation between the institution and the Ryazan Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve will be among the items on the agenda at the meeting “Cultural and Historical Environment of Libraries, Archives and Museums: Ways of Integration Within Digital Projects”.

Guests of the meeting devoted to application of electronic resources will learn, among other things, about the variety of educational programs implemented by the Presidential Library.

The round-table discussion “The Fate of the Hungarian and Russian States: From the Middle Ages to the Empire” will take place on the same day, October 2, in St. Petersburg, at Senate Square, 3. Its participants will address the issues related to the history of Hungary and spotlight relevant documents from the Presidential Library’s collections. The collection Russia - Hungary. The History of Relations, which is available on the library’s portal, is dedicated to this country.

As part of the round-table discussion "Economic Development of Russia in 1861-1917: Research Methods in the Digital Environment" experts will focus on the issues of economic history and use primarily the documents from the Presidential Library’s collections.

The workshop “The Presidential Library in the Cultural Heritage Environment: Cooperation Between Libraries, Archives and Museums” will be held on October 3 in the Solzhenitsyn Ryazan Museum Center. Its participants will learn about the Presidential Library’s regional network.
