The Presidential Library invites watching films and video lectures online

The Presidential Library expands online broadcasting network on its portal. From Monday to Friday, from 6.00 to late evening, films and video lectures arranged by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country, will be broadcasted in Live broadcasts section.

Thus, from March 24-27, each user will have a unique opportunity to learn about the expedition of the Russian fleet to the shores of North America in 1863-1864, which has become one of the brightest pages in the history of relations between the two countries; to discover the secrets of the history of the Most Holy Governing Synod - the highest organ of church and state administration of the Russian Church in 1721–1918, and the details of the life of his chief prosecutor - Konstantin Petrovich Pobedonostsev, who held this post in the period 1880–1905.

A video tour will provide an opportunity to remotely visit an exhibition dedicated to imperial societies and institutions that existed in Russia from the 18th century to 1917, and while watching video lectures, learn about a manuscript and printed book in Russia of the 16th – 17th centuries; on how Russia became Asia for Europe, or the image of Russia through the eyes of the West in the XV - XVI centuries; about the personality and difficult fate of Maxim Gorky, as well as meeting with People's Artist of Russia Nikolai Burov.
