The Presidential Library’s portal provides broadcasting of online video materials of the Great Patriotic War

The Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday from in the evening in Live broadcasts section provides broadcasting of films, lectures and tours prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country.

In accordance with the broadcast program from May 11 to May 15, each user has the opportunity to learn more about the Great Patriotic War.

The video film “One Victory for Everyone” illustrates the invaluable contribution to the Great Victory of all sixteen socialist republics that were part of the USSR.

The Presidential Library’s portal will broadcast four films of the cycle “The Great Patriotic War. Battle for the Black Sea” from the collection of the historical channel “365 days TV”. They are devoted to the history of the cruisers of the USSR from the formation of the state to the last years of the war, the history of coastal guns of Sevastopol, the participation of Soviet destroyers and landing troops in battles over the Black Sea coast.

Having watched the film “Mikhail Bobrov. Guardian of an Angel”, visitors to the Presidential Library’s portal will learn about the life and professional activities of the Soviet and Russian military climber, front-line reconnaissance officer, Honored Trainer of Russia and USSR master of sports Mikhail Mikhailovich Bobrov, who during the Great Patriotic War participated in disguising high-rise dominants of Leningrad - Petropavlovsky, St. Isaac’s, St. Nicholas Cathedrals, Admiralty, Mikhailovsky Castle.

Natalya Rogova, the chief librarian of the manuscript department of the National Library of Russia will lecture about the war and victory based on the work of the poetess Olga Bergholz, who was called the “voice of the besieged Leningrad”, and the documentary chronicle of the blockade through the famous “The Siege Book”.

A video recording of an interview with Ninel Viktorovna Krasnolutskaya, who as a child survived the siege of Leningrad from the first to the last day, will also be broadcasted on the Presidential Library’s portal. Her story is about life in a besieged city and the way people survived.

The film "Letters from the Front" will focus on family stories, photographs and letters of participants in the Great Patriotic War. The multimedia pages were voiced by children studying at the school of young professionals “M-Art” as part of St. Petersburg State Budgetary Educational Establishment of the Center for Creative Development and Humanitarian Education of Children “On Vasilievsky”.
