The Presidential Library provides online watching of films and video lectures

The Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday in Live broadcasts section provides broadcasting of films, video lectures and tours prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country.

Video lectures “About the war and victory in the language of the book” (based on the works of the poetess Olga Bergholz and “The Blockade Book”) as well as “The Leningrad Battle and its role in achieving victory in the Great Patriotic War” will be broadcasted on the library’s’ portal in accordance with the broadcast program, on July 10, 2020, on the day of the battle for the liberation of Leningrad in 1941.

This week, users thanks to online broadcasts will be able to feel the era of the reign of Catherine II, to find out unknown details about the German princesses who became Russian empresses; recall the glorious victories of the Russian army under the command of Peter I in the Great Northern War and its general battle - the Battle of Poltava; to study the eastern question in the politics of Nicholas I.

Without leaving home, everyone can remotely visit the Museum of the First World War, which is open in the building of the House of War, which is part of the Tsarskoe Selo State Museum and Heritage Site.

Besides, the Presidential Library will provide films about rescued frescoes in the Church of St. George in Staraya Ladoga and archaeological excavations in the ancient capital of Northern Russia especially for history lovers.
