The Presidential Library provides online broadcasts of films and video lectures

The Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday in Live broadcasts section provides broadcasting of films, video lectures and tours prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country.

In accordance with the broadcast program, on August 14, the day of the formation of Tyumen Region, the Presidential Library’s portal will present a documentary film “Sverdlovsk Road. Oil Fields of Ob Region" from the cycle "Russia Through the Train Window", which tells about the expedition along Ob Region from Tyumen to the Arctic Ocean.

In 1994, in the suburbs of Moscow, on the territory of the Butovo training ground, which is called the "Russian Golgotha", a memorial cross was consecrated and the first memorial service for the executed priests was performed. This event was captured on camera by director Alexei Ilyukhin. In 2008, his documentary film "Pray to God for us", which was shown on the Presidential Library's portal to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Decree of the President of the USSR "On the restoration of the rights of all victims of political repression of the 1920-1950s" was released.

Experts from the Novgorod Museum-Reserve, restorers and historians tell about the way the murals of ancient temple are saved in the film "The Saved Frescoes of the Church of the Savior on Nereditsa", prepared by the Presidential Library.

Thanks to online broadcasts this week, it will be possible to feel the era of the Time of Troubles at the beginning of the 17th century, find out how it is reflected in Russian culture, learn about little-known facts about the events of that period and its figures: the "fake tsar" False Dmitry I and Prince Dmitry Pozharsky, who led the people's militia against the Polish-Lithuanian invaders.

The documentary “A. V. Suvorov Museum-Estate in the village of Konchanskoye” is dedicated to the memorial House-Museum of the great commander in Novgorod Region. It was opened in 1942 and spotlights the everyday life of Suvorov, his economic activities and relationships with the peasants, gives an idea of ​​the way of landlord life in the 18th century.

Sports fans will certainly be interested in video lectures about the origin of domestic football and its founder, Georges Duperron, which will be shown online.
