The Presidential Library provides online broadcasting of historical films and lectures

The Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday in Live broadcasts section provides broadcasting of films, video lectures and tours prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country.

In accordance with the broadcast program, this week, during the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the writer, poet, translator, Nobel Prize in Literature Ivan Alekseevich Bunin, users can join the video tour “Fact and Image: History of Russia in Works of Russian Fiction XVIII – XX centuries". The film tells about the exhibition in the Presidential Library, where copies of archival documents, illustrative and video materials, sketches of costumes for theatrical performances based on literary works of the second half of the 19th and 20th centuries were presented in the original and digitized form.

On October 19, on the day of the founding of the Imperial Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, thanks to the broadcast on the Presidential Library's portal of the video film "... my address: on the Moika, near the Konyushenny Bridge ...", it will be possible to learn interesting facts from the life of the most famous lyceum student - Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. The film tells about his daily activities, about family and friends, as well as about the last days of the poet.

“The prince and the princely power in Russia in the 9th century - the first third of the 13th century” is the topic of a video lecture within the framework of the Presidential Library educational project “Video lecture hall “Knowledge of Russia”".

The film "The Saved Frescoes of the Savior on Kovalev", prepared by the specilists of the Presidential Library, will tell about the restoration of the masterpiece of world art of the XIV century, built on the eve of the Battle of Kulikovo, which is a true museum of the great spirit of the Russian people who rebelled against the foreign yoke.

The events preceding the longest war in Russian history, its course, results and significance are considered in the film "The Great Northern War" from the collection of documentaries of the historical channel "365 days of TV".

Also, without leaving home, this week it will be possible to visit the famous Icebreaker "Krassin", learn about its history, work life and exploits, visit the exhibition prepared jointly by the Presidential Library and the Icebreaker "Krassin" museum for the centenary of the vessel.
