Cadet Day in the Presidential Library

On April 7, 2021, at 10:00 Moscow time, the Presidential Library will host the conference "Cadet Day in the Presidential Library". The theme of the event is "Duty. Honour. Memory".

Hero of the Russian Federation, retired Navy Admiral Vsevolod Khmyrov and the Head of the Information Historical and Scientific Centre - Military Historical Library of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bukreev are invited to the event.

The conference will highlight the history of the establishment of Russian cadets in the XVIII century and their participation in the Suvorov campaigns. The guests of the event will learn about the exploits of Lyudmila Pavlichenko, the most famous woman sniper during the Great Patriotic War. One of the conference participants will reveal his family's contribution to the military history of Russia. The event will also discuss the military deeds of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, whose 800th anniversary is celebrated this year.

The conference participants will be cadets of the Nakhimov Naval School, the St. Petersburg Cadet Corps "Girl's Boarding School of the Ministry of Defenсe of the Russian Federation", the St. Petersburg University of State Fire Service of Emercom of Russia, the St. Petersburg Suvorov Military School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Also, representatives of military schools from Vladivostok, Kemerovo, Moscow, Murmansk, Kaliningrad and other cities of Russia will join the event at the Presidential Library via video conference. The conference is available to anyone. It be broadcasted live on the Presidential Library's portal in Live broadcasts section and on the institution's YouTube channel.

 

Accreditation of media representatives is until 10:00 April 6, 2021.

The letter should contain the full name, date and place of birth, passport data (series, number, place of registration), a list of carry-on equipment, contact phone numbers, the name of the media.

We draw the attention of the media representatives that it is necessary to forward applications for accreditation and arrive at the event in advance.

Entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only by prior registration and upon showing a passport: for media representatives - through entrance № 2, participants and guests of the event - through entrance № 1.

In order to reduce the risks of the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the use of personal protective equipment during the event is mandatory for all attendees.
