Veterans’ "instruction" underway at the Presidential Library’s multimedia exhibition

21 June – 5 July 2021

Multimedia exhibition "How few of them are left on earth..." dedicated to the veterans of Komi Republic will be open at the Presidential Library on June 21 to July 5, 2021. The exposition features their portraits, as well as short stories about wartime, the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War and the Great Victory Day.

The virtual exhibition has been prepared by specialists from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library in Komi Republic in cooperation with the National Library of Komi Republic and the Yugor Center for Cultural Initiatives.

The multimedia exposition is based on the photo project Instruction by Angelica Shtepa (Maltseva), laureate of many prestigious international, Russian and republican contests.

The Instruction project is a reflection of the life of entire generation in portraits of people who survived the Great Patriotic War. Their fates are inscribed in history, each of them is history. According to Angelica Shtepa, she talked with all the heroes of her photographs, asked what they could advise the next generations. “Each of them has a huge life experience, - says the author of the project, - and instructions –the words that supported them in difficult times, that they were forged by life, pain and work, these words are conveyed by veterans to each of us”.
