The Presidential Library features online films, video lectures and webinars

The Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday in Live broadcasts section provides broadcasting of films, video lectures and tours prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country.

in accordance with the broadcast program, from October 11-15, it will be possible to see the recording of information and methodological webinars for the centers of remote access to the resources of the Presidential Library Marking the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution, which provides an overview of numerous historical sources spotlighting the aggravation of political contradictions on the eve of the revolution, the situation on the fronts of the First World War and in the rear. Not only the memories of participants and eyewitnesses of revolutionary events, but also archival materials, rare documentary photographs and newsreels will tell about the growing internal tension in society in 1917.

It will be also possible to learn about the collection of the Presidential Library dedicated to the Russian people. The unique documents included in this large-scale collection represent the people as a source of power, as a population, as an ethnos, as a society, as a driving force of history.

Thanks to the broadcast on the portal of the film The Saved Frescoes of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin of the Novgorod Anthony Monastery, users, without leaving their homes, will be able to visit one of the centers of the spiritual life of Russia. The surviving information about the life of the Monk Anthony and the saved frescoes of the cathedral - a masterpiece of world art of the 12th century - make it possible to fully study the history of this period, touch high art and feel like a part of a great people.

Also, within the framework of the educational project of the Presidential Library’s video lecture Knowledge of Russia, one can learn about the history of money circulation in Soviet Russia in the 1920s; about the beginning of railway construction in Russia and about the measure of the human personality in the novel by Mikhail Lermontov A Hero of Our Time.
