XIII Scientific and Practical Conference "Cultural Heritage: Integration of Resources in the Digital Space"

3–5 October 2022

The Presidential Library, the Federal Archival Agency, the Union of Museums of Russia, the Russian Library Association, the Ministry of Culture and National Policy of Kuzbass, the Ministry of Culture of Kemerovo Region, the Fedorov State Scientific Library of Kuzbass host the XIII Scientific and Practical Conference "Cultural Heritage: Integration of Resources in the Digital Space" within the framework of the Annual Integration Forum.

The conference will be held on October 3-5, 2022 at the Fedorov State Scientific Library of Kuzbass in Kemerovo and the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg. Most events will be streamed online.

The conference events provide the digital transformation of libraries, the problems of integrating the resources of libraries, archives and museums within the framework of joint projects, the preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in the digital environment, the problems of training and retraining library personnel.

On October 3, 2022, a field meeting of the heads of regional centers of access to the resources of the Presidential Library will be held in Kemerovo. Also Kemerovo on October 3 and 4, 2022 will host plenary and breakout sessions of the XIII Scientific and Practical Conference "Cultural Heritage: Integration of Resources in the Digital Space". In addition, there will be held a round table on vocational education with the Kemerovo State Institute of Culture and a joint round table of the State Archives of Kuzbass, the Fedorov State Scientific Library of Kuzbass and the Presidential Library "Preservation and provision of archival materials in the digital space".

On October 5, 2022, the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg will host round tables “Preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in the digital environment” and “Socio-economic development of Russia in the 18th century: on the occasion of the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter I”.

As part of the round table "Preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in the digital environment", the focus will be on the cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia - the source of moral, aesthetic education, and the identity of Russians. Participants will also discuss the role of cultural institutions in the preservation, study and promotion of cultural heritage. Special attention will be paid to the discussion of digital information, educational and cultural projects for the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia.

During the round table “Socio-economic development of Russia in the 18th century: on the occasion of the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter I”, the following topics are expected to be discussed: archival collections dedicated to economic issues; formation of collections in the digital environment; topical issues in modern research; problem plots of the economic history of Russia in the 18th century; economic reforms and principles of the economic policy of Peter I; features of industrial and agricultural development of Russia; transformation of the social structure of society in the first quarter of the 18th century; the significance of the socio-economic transformations of Peter I”.

October 5, 2022 will be held the opening of a remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library in the museum-reserve "Tomskaya Pisanitsa" in Kemerovo Region.

Representatives of libraries, archives, museums, educational and scientific institutions, public associations, organizations of the federal and regional levels are invited to take part in the conference, which will be held in person.

Applications for participation in the conference as speakers are accepted until September 9, 2022, as listeners - until September 26, 2022. Registration for events in St. Petersburg is carried out on the Presidential Library’s portal in the Conferences section.

Accreditation of media representatives to the Presidential Library’s events is until 12:30 September 30, 2022

The letter should contain the full name, date and place of birth, passport data (series, number, place of registration), a list of carry-on equipment, contact phone numbers, the name of the media.

We draw the attention of the media representatives that it is necessary to forward applications for accreditation and arrive at the event in advance.

Entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only by prior registration and upon showing a passport: for media representatives - through entrance № 2, participants and guests of the event - through entrance № 1.

In order to reduce the risks of the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the use of personal protective equipment during the event is mandatory for all attendees.
