Jubilee International Technology Forum to be held at Presidential Library

9–11 October 2024

From October 9-11, 2024, the Presidential Library of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation will host the V International Technological Forum, Russian Standardization Week, which is the main event in the field of standardization. The celebration of this anniversary forum is timed to coincide with World Standards Day, has become a traditional event in the Russian quality infrastructure.

This event will bring together heads and representatives from federal authorities, international and foreign standardization organizations, major research and education centers, and Russian industrial enterprises.

On October 10th, at 15:00, the main plenary session "Standardization for Achieving the National Development Goals of the Russian Federation" will begin.

Starting in 2019, the Presidential Library will annually become a platform for discussing trends in the development of international, regional, and national standardization. Experts will discuss current areas of standard development, new challenges, and practices in technical regulation as well as tools and opportunities in the field of standardization.

The forum will be organized by the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) and will take place within the framework of its business program.

The main topic of this year's Russian Standardization Week is Standardization for Achieving the National Development Goals of the Russian Federation.

At the forum, the following key issues will be discussed:

- Digital transformation of the national standardization system - key solutions and directions for development;
- "Green" standards - the role of standardization in environmental issues;
- Digital technical regulation as the basis for Eurasian integration; 
- The practice of applying international and national standards in management systems.

Within the framework of the V International Technological Forum, a joint roundtable of the Technical Committee for Standardization 191, Scientific and Technical Information, Libraries and Publishing, Document Management, and the Presidential Library, with the participation of representatives from the library and archive communities, will be held on October 9 at 16:00. The event will focus on the current state and future prospects for national standardization in the fields of librarianship, bibliographic activities, standardization in electronic libraries, digital services, digital preservation, and QR codes as an augmented reality tool for print media. Library digitalization and standards will also be discussed.

Additionally, the forum will host the solemn award ceremony for the winners of the All-Russian Public Award Standardizer of the Year.

Events of the International Technological Forum Russian Standardization Week will be broadcast on the Presidential Library's portal under the Live Broadcasts section, in accordance with the schedule of live event broadcasts, as well as on the institution's Rutube channel, and also on the forum's portal.

Entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only by prior registration and upon showing a passport: for media representatives - through entrance № 2, participants and guests of the event - through entrance № 1.
