The Presidential Library holds V Annual Integration Forum on preservation of cultural heritage of libraries, archives and museums.

The Forum will include Theoretical and Practical conference, "Cultural heritage: integration of resources in the digital environment" and the annual training seminar on methods of cataloguing digital copies of various types and kinds of resources.

The main event: Theoretical and Practical conference "Cultural heritage: integration of resources in the digital environment"

Venue: Presidential Library, 3, Senate Square, St. Petersburg.

Date: 1 to 2 October 2014.

Major themes and reports:

- Methodological, organizational and technological problems of integration of cultural heritage in the digital environment;

- National, regional and municipal digital libraries in a single standardized environment: coordination and planning;

- Audiovisual and multimedia content as a part of modern digital libraries;

- Information technology as a basis for the development of integrated digital resources;

- Contemporary forms of access to the resources of digital collections on the websites of libraries, archives and museums.

The event is addressed to: representatives of libraries, archives, museums, educational, scientific and other institutions, public associations and organizations.

During the forum, from September 29 to October 1, 2014, the Presidential Library will hold the Annual training seminar on methods of cataloging digital copies of various types and kinds of resources. The workshop will consider the issues related to the formats of representation of different data (from libraries, archives, museums); their compatibility and correlation in a single electronic catalog. The forum will also include a webinar for regional centers and remote reading rooms of the Presidential Library, "New in organization of access to the resources of the Presidential Library."
