The Presidential Library will host the All-Russian conference "Traditional religions - for a strong Russia"

November 2, 2016 in the Presidential Library will be held the All-Russian conference "Traditional religion - for a strong Russia". The event starts – at 11:00 Moscow time.

The aim of the conference is to discuss the dynamics of the religious situation in Russia, the identification of problematic issues of studying the religious situation, including: religious and national identity, religion in the modern media space, the religious factor in modern geopolitics, traditionalism, modernism and fundamentalism in religion and culture, religious tourism. The event will bring together leading theologians of traditional Russian religions, religious scholars, anthropologists, political scientists and sociologists. 

After the end of the conference in the Presidential Library will be held the concert "Our strength - in unity", of the "Maestro" instrumental orchestra. 

Co-organizer of the conference is the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of St. Petersburg and the Northwest region with the support of the St. Petersburg Governor's Administration.

Co-organizers of the event are: the St. Petersburg diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Jewish religious community of St. Petersburg, Buddhist datsan, the Armenian Apostolic Church, the Committee on Inter-Ethnic Relations and Migration Policy in St. Petersburg, the Liaison Division with Religious Associations of the Administration Governor of St. Petersburg, the Foundation for the support of Islamic culture, science and education, NGO "Center for ethno-religious research". 

The event will be broadcast online at the Presidential Library website, the section "Live broadcasts".

 Accreditation for media representatives is carried till 12:00 November 1, 2016.

Please note that the entrance to the Presidential Library for the media representatives through entrance № 2 is strictly upon showing the passports.
