Memorial Pushkin Day will be held in the Presidential Library

“Pushkin Memorial Day” conference-webinar will take place on February 10, 2017, in the Presidential Library. An event is timed to the 180th anniversary of the death of one of the greatest poets in the history of native Russian and the world literature. The conference will be aired live on the library website. A beginning is at 10 am.

The participants will discuss in the Presidential Library the importance of Pushkin's creativity to the world of literature, the use of Pushkin's heritage in school education, and in their speeches will reveal the themes dedicated to the main stages of the poet's life.

The students of Leningrad State University named after A. S. Pushkin, the teachers and the students of the senior classes of schools of the Primorsky District of St. Petersburg, the stuff employees of the “House of Stationmaster,” the “Hannibal Manor in Suyda,” “A house of Pushkin’s Nurse” museums, the archpriest of the Church of the Icon of Christ of Edessa in the Kunushennaya Square.

Representatives of the libraries in Grozny, Tomsk, Barnaul, Tambov, Tyumen, Omsk, Pskov, Novosibirsk and Simferopol will attend the event in the videoconferencing mode.
