Mikhail Bobrov will tell the school students about the Great Patriotic War at a meeting in the Presidential Library

Dedicated to Victory Day public video lecturing from the “Knowledge of Russia” cycle will take place on May 4, 2017, in the Presidential Library. The event starts at 11 am and will be aired on the library website.

According to the agenda of public video lecturing, the school students of the city will meet with the honorable local St. Petersburg’s citizen and veteran Mikhail Mikhailovich Bobrov, where he will share his memories of participation in the Great Patriotic War.

M. M. Bobrov is an athlete-climber, head of the Department of Physical Education of the St. Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions, Professor, and Honored Coach of Russia. During the siege of Leningrad, he participated in the camouflage of urban high-altitude dominants: St. Isaac's, the Peter and Paul, St. Nicholas cathedrals, the Admiralty, the Engineer's Castle. After the evacuation from the besieged city he fought on the Caucasus passes against the troops of the “Edelweiss” elite German mountain-rifle division.
