St. Petersburg’s tram birthday party in the Presidential Library

“A tram — a transportation of the future” public video lecturing of “Knowledge of Russia” cycle will be held in the Presidential Library on November 14, 2017, at 11 am MSK. Timed to the 110th anniversary of the first launch of an electric tram in St. Petersburg event will be aired live on the Presidential Library website under the “Live broadcast” section.

Apart from learning a history of the origin and development of this type of public transportation in the Northern capital, audience will also discuss the current state of the city tramway and its prospects in the future in the video lecturing. Moreover, a multimedia exhibition of the children’s drawings for “Trams and trolleybuses in the city on the Neva” competition in 2016 and 2017 will open in the course of the event.

Doctor of Economics, Professor of St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Construction Andrey Gorev and Adviser to the Director of “Gorelectrotrans” St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise, Head of the Technical Policy Service, PhD in Technical Sciences Sergey Kitaev will take part in “A tram — a transportation of the future” public video lecturing. The moderator of the event will be journalist Dmitry Shabelnikov.

The students of the St. Petersburg State University of Communications of Emperor Alexander I, St. Petersburg State Architectural and Construction University, St. Petersburg Polytechnic University of Peter the Great will participate in public lecturing.
