State Duma in the history of Russian statehood

The State Duma was established in the Russian Empire in 1905 as one of the highest legislative state bodies. Legislative elections were held in the spring of the following year. On April 27, 1906, the First State Duma of the Russian Empire started working.

The collection marks the 115th anniversary of the First Duma. It comprises the constituent documents, archival materials, political writings, research, verbatim records of meetings, reviews of activities and illustrative materials.
