Gorny Altai in the works of the Imperial Russian Geographical Society

The joint collection of the Presidential Library and the National Library of Altai Republic features 164 documents – scientific monographs, articles, reports, memos, expedition materials, journals, travel notes, essays, descriptions, reviews, chronicles, ethnographic materials, projects, records, summaries, statistical materials, astronomical observations, abstracts, letters, biographies, obituaries, visual and cartographic materials, published on the pages of periodicals and continuing publications of the Russian Geographical Society in 1865-1917 and describing the territory of Gorny Altai, as well as the life and work of its explorers.

The materials are grouped into sections by publications, within the section – in alphabetical order of authors and titles.

The publications have been provided by the Russian Geographical Society and the Omsk State Regional Research Library.
