Alexander Pokryshkin (1913–1985)

The collection is timed to coincide with the 110th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Soviet pilot, famous on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War, three times Hero of the USSR Alexander Ivanovich Pokryshkin (1913–1985). The collection contains research papers, archival documents, photographs and audiovisual materials, dedicated to his life and work, as well as to the preservation of memory of this great man.

The holdings of the Novosibirsk State Regional Research Library, the State Archive of Novosibirsk Region, the Novosibirsk State Museum of Local History, and the Pokryshkin Novosibirsk Technical College were used in forming the collection.
