    The selection includes researches, essays, archival materials and photographs, reflecting geographical, ethnographical, socio-economical, social and political, and other aspects of history of the Krasnodar Territory of the end of the 17th – early 20th century, as well as the current Statute of the Krasnodar Krai.

  • History of Sochi in Postcards and Photographs

    Sochi is the largest resort city in Russia, an important traffic centre, a major economic center of the Black Sea coast of Russia. July 4, 2007, during the 119th IOC Session in Guatemala, Sochi was chosen as the capital of Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games of 2014. The collection includes 110 postcards and photos of the late 19th - early 20th centuries. They depict the all-around view of the city and the Black Sea coast, various attractions of Sochi, including the Black Sea resorts and parks. Looking at the featured postcards and photos, one can see how the city was changing throughout its history. For the development of the collection materials from the Children's Museum of postcards, Library of Congress (USA) and private collections have been used.
