The Memory of Russia: Exhibition «Not a step back», highlighting 75th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad, opened in Sobornaya Square of the Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg

A new exhibition «Not a step back» is running until July 2018 in Sobornaya Square of the Peter and Paul Fortress.

The exhibition has been prepared by the State Historical and Memorial Museum «The Battle of Stalingrad» and is timed to 75th anniversary of the defeat of the Nazi troops in the battle of Stalingrad.

It portrays the history of the battle of Stalingrad, captured by famous Soviet photo correspondents, participants of the Stalingrad front line: Emanuil Yevzerikhin, Georgy Zelma, Yakov Ryumkin and Abram Lipskerov.

The Battle of Stalingrad in 1942-1943 was one of the most momentous and decisive battles of the Great Patriotic War which ended with a brilliant victory of the Soviet army. This event will remain in the memory of people for centuries as a symbol of sufferings, pain, persistence and courage.
