World Culture: Exhibition «Masterpieces of the Ecclesiastical Art of Bulgaria» is opening in Moscow

A new exhibition «Masterpieces of Ecclesiastical Art of Bulgaria» is opening on June 29 2018 at the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow).

Visitors of the exhibition will have a chance to trace major stages of the history of Bulgarian culture and art from the time of Byzantium influence to the National Revival of 18th–19th cc. - the time of foundation of local icon painting schools. 

Among the unique exhibits are ancient icons and manuscripts, needlework, Liturgy items — which give an opportunity to discover the country’s rich spiritual legacy.
