The History of Moscow: A new exhibition in Moscow focuses on the history of its families

On July 6 2018 the Exhibition Hall of the Main Archival Directorate of Moscow is launching a historical and documentary exhibition «Kith and Kin, and Beloved Ones» marking the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity which is celebrated in Russia on July 8.

The documents from the archival collection of Moscow will cast the light on the relationships between parents and children in the 20th century, the role of the upbringing, education and general atmosphere at home in shaping and development of a personality, preservation of moral and family values.

The exposition showcases postcards, letters, drawings, poems, photographs taken by amateur photographers and professional photographs by such masters as Mark Redkin, Yuri Korolyov, Boris Ignatovich, Valentin Mastyukov, Mikhail Trakhman, Victor Akhlomov.

The exhibition will run until July 23 2018.
