Russian language abroad: Far-Eastern Federal University to set up Russian language center in Hanoi

The Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) is opening its subdivision at the University of Hanoi, in the capital of Vietnam. This will be the first and so far the only subdivision of the Russian higher education institution in the Asian country, the FEFU reports. 

During the Eastern Economic Forum, that will be held in the capital of Primorsky Krai - Vladivostok - in September, heads of two universities are going to sign an agreement on cooperation. 

Vietnamese representatives proposed setting up a center for training Russian language specialists in Hanoi. Jointly with their Russian colleagues they plan to develop methods for teaching Russian as a foreign language, launch thematic summer schools and many other activities.
