IT and Regions of Russia: International Conference “Digital Cultural Heritage of the North: Creation, Application, Promotion” currently underway in Murmansk

On December 4-5, 2018 the Murmansk State Regional Research Library is hosting the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Digital Cultural Heritage of the North: Creation, Application, Promotion”.

Inna Pogrebnyak, Deputy Governor of the region, welcomed participants of the conference on behalf of the Governor Marina Kovtun. She noted that the importance of electronic resources nowadays is hard to overestimate. The forum has brought together around 100 specialists and research fellows from libraries, museums, archives, educational institutions of Murmansk Region, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Syktyvkar, Salekhard, Yekaterinburg, Petrozavodsk, Finland and Norway.
