Society and Mass Media: Periodicals of Astrakhan go on display in the regional library

Ahead of the Day of the Russian Press Krupskaya Astrakhan Regional Research Library is presenting the exhibition of periodicals that came out in Astrakhan.

The history of Astrakhan press goes back to 1813 when the first issue of Vostochnyye izvestiya newspaper came out. In 1816 Vostochnyye izvestiya was published both in Russian and Armenian. The exhibition will showcase the issues dating from 1813.
