IT and Archives: The State Archive of Tver Region digitizes its papers

A planetary scanner has been purchased in Tver Region to complete digitization of documents of the regional state archive.

Genealogical documents housed in the archive of Tver Region will be digitized in the next two years. This will ensure preservation of documents and make them available to researchers online.

The State Archive of Tver Region is one of the largest archives in Russia. It holds over 1.6 million records from the 14th century up to the present day.
