IT and Archives: Particularly valuable documents at the State Archive of Vladimir Region digitized

18 February 2019

Particularly valuable archival papers housed in the State Archive of Vladimir Region have been digitized as part of the Culture of Russia (2012–2018) Federal Target Program for 2018. Within the project, roughly 80,000 pages of primary sources, which date back to 1917, have been converted into digital form. They include documents from the collections of the diocesan governing bodies and private collections of the nobility. The creation of an electronic collection is an opportunity to optimize the work of specialists while processing user requests, and remove particularly valuable documents and those, which are in poor condition, from the circulation.
