Museums of Russia: “The Art of Conservation 5:0” display timed to 50th birthday of Tropinin Museum underway in Moscow

In 2019 the Tropinin Museum in Moscow is celebrating its 50th birthday. A new exposition “The Art of Conservation 5:0” is opening the anniversary year of Moscow museum.

This exhibition project is based on the idea of storage and presentation of museum’s treasures. The collection of the museum, which was founded by Felix Vishnevsky in 1969, today comprises about 3,000 exhibits. A celebrated collector and connoisseur of Russian art amassed a rich collection of paintings, drawings and objects of decorative and applied art by Russian and Western European masters of the 18th - early 20th cc. The exhibition showcases highlights from the museum’s collections.

The exhibition will be open until August 25, 2019.
