Internet and society: “Map of Heroes” unique interactive portal launched in Russia

On February 20, 2020, Russia launched “Map of Heroes” - an interactive portal about the feats of ordinary men on the streets. The first 500 stories have already been released, by the end of the year, there will be more than 8,000 stories.

The project team claims, that feats were performed not only during the Great Patriotic War - heroes live among us. They are firemen, rescuers, doctors, and other professionals, who save lives. They are not indifferent people, who do not pass by a person in need and help him, making efforts, spending time, health and money. All stories of that kind will also find their place on the "Map of Heroes".

A portal user may add information to the site by filling simple feedback, writing a feat history, and attaching photos and videos. The stories truthfulness will be checked by the project editors.
