Information Technologies and Libraries: The Library of Congress of the USA digitalized and provided open access to the documents of presidents

5 May 2020

The documents of the US presidents Andrew Johnson, Chester Alan Arthur, and William McKinley have been digitized. Now they are available online for the first time on the Library of Congress website, as well as on the new LOC Collections mobile app.

Collections include correspondence, speeches, and other documents.

The materials of each president feature different types and kinds of documents showcasing the problems of administration, and style of management.

The Library of Congress contains documents of the 23 US presidents. The digitization of these collections is part of great work to make historical materials available on the Internet.
