Marking the 75th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, the Russian National Museum of Music launched a multimedia exhibition project "Music of the Heroes".

"Music of the Heroes" is a combination of the museum and theater, music and literature, photography, and cinema. The music of the heroes is the music of those who worked in the rear, fought, and gave concerts at the front, raising the soldiers' combat fervor.

The virtual exhibition is featured by an audio performance, which step by step showcases the terrible days of the war.

The main character of the play is Andrei, a Moscow Conservatory graduate, who volunteered for the front like many Russian citizens. The red line of the narrative is his memoirs and letters from the front. It is made up of five chapters: memories of a peaceful life, the first battle, a short rest, when the soldiers want to relax and listen to music, visits of artists from front-line brigades and, the most important, worry about parents and the bride Nadia - Leningrad residents.

Side by side with the main character, the user will pass this difficult way. Each chapter includes archival material rich in content: revived photographs, unique autographs, documents, and audio records from the museum's collection, wartime video chronicle.
