The "Online. Bibliogorod" portal launched a section about Russian and foreign writers whose anniversaries are celebrated this year.

The website contains biographies and selected works of classics: Chekhov, Pasternak, Tvardovsky and others. It will release audio clips and videos with stories about writers.

The first information in the section will highlight nine authors whose anniversaries are celebrated this year. There will be articles about Alexander Griboedov (January 15 marked 225th anniversary), Anton Chekhov (January 29 - 160th anniversary), Boris Pasternak (February 10 - 130th anniversary), Vsevolod Ivanov (February 24 - 125th anniversary), Mikhail Sholokhov (May 24 - 115th anniversary), Dante Alighieri (end of May - 755th anniversary), Aleksander Tvardovsky (June 21 - 110th anniversary), Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (June 29 - 120 anniversary) and Lev Kassil (July 10 - 115th anniversary).

A new section of the portal will be improved every month. For example, in late July, users will learn about Aleksandr Grin (August 23 - 140th anniversary) and Yury Trifonov (August 28 - 95th anniversary).
