Museums of Russia: Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (Moscow) to present a graphic exhibition devoted to a poet on its opening day July 10, 2020

10 July 2020

July 10, 2020, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (Moscow) reopens its doors to visitors. That day, it will present to the public a graphic exhibition of Leonid Tishkov, spotlighting the image of Alexander Pushkin.

Developing the exhibition and navigation, Tishkov tried to reconstruct the episode in Pushkin’s biography. It features the poet's arrival and quarantine in Boldino due to the cholera epidemic in the autumn of 1830. During the lockdown Alexander Pushkin created many works and completed "Eugene Onegin". Leonid Tishkov offers the museum visitors to follow the poet's cue and create while staying safe.

The exhibition is part of a large multimedia project "In Pushkin Museum with Pushkin". Besides the exposition, the project includes a series of videos about the new temporary rules for visiting the museum and a tour of the closed Main Building.
