Memory of Russia: "Victory Poster ...Long Echo of War" exhibition presented in Yekaterinburg

The Museum and Exhibition Center "House of Poklevsky-Kozell" of the Onesime Clerc Sverdlovsk Regional Local Lore Museum opened the "Victory Poster ...Long Echo of War" exhibition. It will run until October 25, 2020.

The exhibition presents a collection of printed graphics from the Sverdlovsk Regional Local Lore Museum, which contains 252 wartime posters. They all were issued in different places and have various items, size, technique. The first part of the project has already been performed as a virtual exhibition.

The exhibition includes unique works of local poster art. It features lots of hand-made posters printed by the Sverdlovsk branch of the USSR Art Foundation. The posters are showcased in the chronology of military events - from the beginning of the German invasion in the USSR on June 22, 1941, until its unconditional surrender on May 9, 1945. They reflect the entire scale of moods and experiences of the Soviet people: anger and pain, bitterness and laugh, sorrow and joy.
