On September 5, 2020, the State Art Museum of Novgorod Land launched an interregional exhibition project "Novgorod Geographic Drawing".

The new exhibition project was invented 2 years ago. Now it occupies 3 large halls of the Art Museum of Novgorod Land.

The exhibition showcases maps of Moscovia, Russia and the Russian Empire of the XVI-XVIII centuries, as well as maps of Novgorod land, Novgorod Governorate and Novgorod Province of the XVII-XIX centuries, engravings, lithographs and graphics with views of Novgorod in the XVII-XXI centuries. It also provides information about cartographers and publishers, topographers and surveyors, as well as the history of presented maps.

Most of the exhibits originate from the private collection of the patron of the arts and collector Alexei Finikov, who was born in Veliky Novgorod and now lives in Saint-Petersburg.

The exhibition will run until January 31, 2022. Within the framework of the exposition, it is planned to hold other creative events related to the theme of the exhibition.
